The University of Central Florida (UCF) Libraries contributes materials to the Digital Library of the Caribbean from their Special Collections & University Archives Department.

Most of the materials are from the William J. Bryant West Indies Collection—a scholarly collection of over 1, books and periodicals on the history, geography, economy, and social life of the. This work is intended to give the reader an insight into the furniture of the Lesser Antilles, and its place in the changing politics and history of these Caribbean islands. The inspiration for this book came initially from the collection formed by the author's mother, Dorothy Sturm, in Trinidad, during the years between and /5(4).

The Bryant West Indies collection is the largest of Special Collections, containing thousands of items from the Caribbean/ West Indies region. These items include art, sculpture, manuscripts, maps, books, recordings, archeological artifacts and ephemera.
